I was immediately impressed with the venue and the people working there when I got to The Schottenstein Center. As each song was played, I was reminded of what great talents were before me and what a beautiful opportunity it was to be here in Columbus for this show. The spell I was under could not be broken, and the music stayed with me for days. Waiting for the show to begin was still a mixed anticipation; would I enjoy it? The only disappointment of the evening was that it had to end! The mood was set and it was perfect when Rise Against and Winwood took the stage and opened with Had To Cry. I couldn't believe how fast the time had gone by when the show concluded. When I first saw the set list online earlier in the day, I was unsure of how much I would enjoy the show; it wasn't packed with all the familiar songs. As the really bluesy stuff was played, it was like being transported to another place and time in music. Thanks for an AMAZING show gentlemen, well done! I assume that this may well be the last time I see Rise Against and the only time I see Steve Winwood live, and I will cherish the event probably for the rest of my life.
